I can't believe I wasted my money on this. The horror part is excellent. If you've seen the trailers, the horror movie aspect is as good as the trailors make it out to be. On the flip side, you have a lame episode of law and order.
Here's the rundown. She starts having seizures and going insane. Doctors put her on medication. She talks to her Rabbi (this one is new. they called him rabbi in the movie, even though he prayed to mary, and spoke new testament scriptures. maybe he's orthodox?, who tells her to seek an exorcism, and discontinue the medication, because it makes you drunk, and can inibit the exorcism's psychic shock it is supposed to deliver) She does the exorcism. Later, she dies.
There is a plot twist near the end, that was lame and cliche (unsure if it happened in real life or not).
This movie gets 4 ratings.
Horror Alone:09/10. Legal Alone: 7/10 Legal-biased:8/10 Horror biased:5/10

Your ratings sound pretty good, synopsis doesn't. I've never seen it.

We were going to see that recently.... but given what I'd heard about it, and Jono's whining about how it sounded too much like Million Dollar Baby, we got some movie about Catherine Zeta-Jones and a 100-year old thief stealing things and falling in love. Pfft. *throws all three out the window*

We all try. Hmm . . . *is vaguely interested in Emily Rose, now, since there is a legal aspect* *decides it's not worth it* Meh, there's all these movies that my criminology book is referring to . . . like The Silence Of The Lambs . . . and Hannibal . . . and they're talking about the characters . . . and I was vaguely interested in seeing the movie, until I remembered that my then-16-year-old cousin who saw it had to sleep with the light on for days after seeing that movie. And seeing as I'm paranoid as it is . . . Uhm, what was the point of that? o.0 And THAT is why I should never be posting forum messages at 7:29 in the morning.
